Well...I don't often write up about hotels...but this has to get bonus points. We booked on-line, got electronic keys for both the room and parking garage. We arrived later one evening, used electronic keep to get to park our car, walked straight into hotel elevator, straight up to our room...no need for human interaction. Bed was VERY comfortable, as were the pillows (which are often my biggest complaint for a comfortable night). Next morning, no time for breakfast, hotel elevator straight to where our car was, electronic key to open exit gates, then electronically checked out. For us, on this occasion, this was excellent and will definitely return.

We checked into this hotel on 10/20/23, they let us check in early because they had a room available. Great awesome, the African American lady with the short hair and glasses checked us in. Fast forward, Saturday morning 10/22/23, breakfast was horrible, there was no waffle spray so everyone’s waffle was crumbling in the machine, we could not find the syrup and had to ask for it, the Apple Juice was hot (disappointing). The employees working breakfast seem to act nonchalant about the items we were asking for. We are leaving breakfast go back to our room the key doesn’t work for some reason. We have the key in the carrying case they gave with the room number shown. My husband went to the front desk and came back up asking me to come down. He didn’t have his ID because we went to breakfast! Now the same lady I mentioned earlier that checked us in, remember she talked to us blah blah. I have a straight attitude because I had to come all the way back down stairs. I asked her do you remember me? She proceeded to try to say we check in 50 ppl daily so I said you don’t remember me from yesterday she was like yes I remember you.. so why are we going thru this.. She asked do I have my ID? Ma’am No, I was at breakfast! Well what’s your name I told her, what’s her email address I told her. What’s the room number? My husband gave it to her this lady proceeded to say I need to give her the key because it’s in her name. I snatched the key and walked off!! Really??!! I definitely will be calling corporate because all of that was unnecessary. For my first time visiting Houston and being treated like that I will never stay here again!! I should’ve stayed at the Sonesta.. If my husband gave you the same information, could you still not have given him the key!! We are together, married at that!! Maybe she needed see the marriage certificate.. That makes no sense!! So overall if you stay here you might want to walk around with your ID at all times because they will not give you key if you don’t have some identification and ask several questions.
